The Big Pink House is ideal for large groups to get together. They've thought of everything, we especially enjoyed the hot tub, the men enjoyed being barmen & the games room, the youngest in our family get together absolutely loved the play room. The kitchen & preproom is fully equipped, all the bedrooms are en- suite, which is a bonus when catering for so many people, & comfortable. I would recommend the BPH to anyone looking for a family holiday

Great accommodation - we were various families/friends with children of different ages. The house had everything we needed and kept the kids entertained with the playroom/games room, garden (had it not been raining) and hot tub. Short drive into Keswick and we visited the Lake District safari park, 15 mins away. Overall, a great house for large groups.

Absolutely brilliant, we stayed this weekend as a group of 12 mums, the house was enormous so even with a larger group than ours, you have loads of space to spread out. Bedrooms and bathrooms all great and comfy beds. This house has literally everything you could need- even 2 kettles! Games room fab and we had a dj come and we had a fancy dress party on the Saturday night- great entertaining space if you have a special occasion. Hot tub a great addition and MASSIVE garden- if u have kids they would absolutely love it here as so much for them also. Everyone in the group had a great weekend, we will be back! Also communication from the hosts was great. Oh and we also went axe throwing at Lumber lounge about 20 mins away and that was a fab activity to get us out for a few hours

Highly recommend, what an amazing place. My family just returned from a fantastic weekend at the house celebrating my 30th birthday and it most definitely didn't disappoint so much for everyone to do, the games room was a big hit for everyone adults and children. The garden was a treat to from mini golf to relaxing in the hot tub was bliss and also being about to bring our wee dog along was great. We will most definitely be back for a family get together thank you again to everyone at four oaks house communication was fantastic from booking til leaving. X

myself my husband my 2 boys and our doggy have just had an absolutely amazing stay at four oaks house. the garden was an amazing space and huge hot tub. the games room was a huge wow factor and is where we spent 95% of our time having loads of fun and laughter as a family. we would and already have recommended this place and would defo stay again. ???

We had a wonderful few days at four oaks cottage ,kids loved the slides and hot tub many hours of fun. Accommodation was spotless even the bbq was immaculate . Very minor issue daughter had reaction to soap powder used on sheets fortunately a member of the the four oaks team Jade was amazing and washed and changed the sheet for us , nothing was a trouble for her . Would defiantly recommend ??????????

We said for a weekend at the Big Pink house . The accommodation is excellent, far better in person. There is something for Children of all ages with a play room and games room. The garden is a great size with its very own park . The hot tub Is a great touch . The rooms are spacious with en suite. We made full use of the bar area and dining area. Altogether it was fantastic for a family get together . I will definitely be organising a stay again . The staff at CumbrIan Dreams were also excellent from start to finish! Thanks guys- we’ll be back soon! Highly recommend!

Perfect accommodation for the weekend, plenty of space and plenty of beds with en suites, would deffo stay again. Full booking process made extremely easy by the staff and was on hand all times night and day if we needed anything.

This is an absolutely superb house for a large group either for a family get together or a celebration with friends. As a bunch of 20 lads on a stag weekend it had everything we wanted with a hot tub, games room and no neighbours to disturb. The house is kitted out with everything you could need and you can tell that the hosts really care. I'll be booking the place again for a family get-together in the near future.

We are enjoying our stay at The Big Pink House, Mealsgate, Cumbria- it's proving to be a great base for seeing the beautiful Lake District! The en-suite rooms are well appointed, the public areas are plentiful and the kitchen and scullery are very well equipped!

Beautiful house, fantastic customer service, we forgot our quilts and jade brought us one at 11pm. Super customer service from start to finish. We will certainly be back next year. We had 5 children and they was all occupied the whole weekend. The house is fantastic xxxx

We have just got back from a weekend at the cottage. Our stay was absolutely perfect. I can’t fault it at all! So clean and it quite literally has everything you need, including little touches. Perfect for the children too! Loved the hot tub, table tennis and “foot pool” & the kids loved all the toys available to play with. Stunning sunsets from the massive garden!! So cosy by the log fire at night too. We went as 6 adults, a teenager and 2 children under 2 and it was plenty big enough. We have had such a lovely weekend and made the best memories here. Really didn’t want to leave. We will 100% be returning for another visit!! Loved it sooo much, thank you! X

Just back from 3 nights stay on friday, such an amazing beautiful cottage in a nice peaceful location. Our son and pup had a great time in the huge garden with plenty to do, The perfect wee getaway. customer service from Jade from start to finish was second to none. Would defo recommend.

Fantastic place to rent. The owners were on hand with answers to any queries. Perfect place to stay for a big family party. There was a large age range across the family and it perfectly catered for everyone; games room, playroom, hot tub and bar. The fact that it was an old pub converted into a holiday home was the icing on the cake for us. Would highly recommend.

15 of us went to Four Oaks at the weekend for my mums surprise 60th birthday weekend. The house is amazing, something for everyone! Spotless, well thought out and the games room went down a storm with everyone from 3 years old to 70. Would highly recommend and we will definitely be back ?

Would highly recommend.. went down to celebrate our youngest daughters 3rd birthday. So all the family could stay together. Even tho we never had good enough weather to enjoy the garden, football pool ect. We still had a great weekend. Kids loved the hot tub

  fabulous time again ? stayed at the apartment this time. we used it as our base for travelling to lakes an Carlisle for days out. the hot tub was very much a welcoming site after a day's hike. Thank you again Four Oaks ?

  Amazing week spent in the Four Oaks Cottage. Table tennis was the highlight of the week for the adults while the hot tub kept the kids entertained. The garden was fantastic and kept the kids busy from the climbing frame to the grass space where they could practice their football skills. What made it even better was ending the night with a hot chocolate in front of the log burner.

  Wow! what a fantastic place for a family holiday! 12 of us, aged from 6 - 84 stayed for 4 nights and we have had an absolute blast, thank you so much! House was exceptionally clean and very well maintained. Play room kept the children busy for hours, and the hot tub was just amazing. Highly recommended x

  Amazing experience from start to finish! Communication has been fantastic throughout. Nothing is too much trouble for Jade, the housekeeper, she went above and beyond to ensure our stay was all we had hoped! The property was spotless! The open plan kitchen/dining/living area means you can still join in the fun whilst cooking etc. The kitchen has everything you need. All the bedrooms are gorgeous and spacious with lovely en-suite bathrooms, and the beds are really comfy! The games room was brilliant! We had children ranging from 2 - 17 years, and there was plenty to do for them all (and of course us big kids!). The hot-tub was amazing - one of the best we’ve been in. We would definitely recommend the house, and can’t rate it highly enough. We will definitely be back ?

  We have recently returned from a weekend break to the Four Oaks Estate, this was our first visit but most certainly won’t be our last. We were sent all information required prior to our stay and we were also met by Jade on our arrival who was so lovely and welcoming. Jade gave us a tour of our accommodation and advice how to use the amenities and was on hand should we have required anything more . Our accommodation was spotlessly clean and had all the requirements of a self catering apartment. Our beds were So comfortable and in particular our boys loved the bunk beds. The highlight for us was our own private hot tub which provided hours of fun for us all. A wonderful break in a lovely part of the country, we will be back x

There is something for everyone, the games room is second to none, from pool to ice hockey to ping pong to table football. The choices are endless!   Four oaks estate is amazing we have just worked in the grounds of the cottage which was already fab Now they have added a giant 6m futpool game and artificial grass Now on to the main house artificial grass and mini golf These are additions the the massive indoor games room We stayed in the cottage which is spacious and clean ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

  I stayed at this property over the new year period and was not disappointed. The communication with the host was second to none. The property was immaculate from top to bottom and cleaning supplies were available if we needed them. There was plenty for us to do while there from the huge game room, which kept us entertained for hours on end! The hot tub was amazing- with Bluetooth speakers and the jets it was perfect after long days of playing pool and table tennis😂 Can’t wait to visit again in the summer!

  Took a trip to four oaks last year and had an amazing experience! The host couldn’t have been more helpful and answered all of our queries promptly! The house was amazing, so clean, spacious and lots to do. We had a perfect girls trip and have recommended to many since! The hot tub was the highlight of our trip, with built in lights and speakers as well as a canapé for when it was raining!   Absolutely amazing stay at Four Oaks house! Incredible facilities for all ages ( which I highly recommend) Every room was modern and the cleanliness was second to none Communication with the host was spot on and nothing was a burden to them - very friendly and helpful! As soon as we’re out of tier 4 I’ll be booking straight back up. As a family that loves hiking in the Lake District this is the perfect base as it’s only a 20-30 minute drive - and what’s even better, after our hike we were straight in the wonderful hot tub four oaks has to offer.

Just arrived back from an amazing New Year break at Four Oaks house which I could not recommend enough. The hosts were great, communication spot on and friendliness was exceptional. The house is very modern and beautifully decorated and every room was spotless from top to bottom. The playroom was fantastic and the kids loved it, and the adults even more! The hot tub was perfect to wind down and relax. Fun for all the family and a perfect break away. I can’t wait to visit again in the very near future.

Just got back from Four Oaks house and couldn’t recommend it enough. From start to finish - excellent communication with the hosts, very private property which has been excellent for our New Year break, but still a short distance to Carlisle town and shops. Very modern and beautifully decorated with large spacious rooms!Nipping clean throughout with well stocked toiletries. There was fun for everyone of all ages: from a play room for the children and a games room for the adults to get involved. And to top off our trip away was sitting in the beautiful hot tub listening to our music while watching the snow! Already planning our next couple of trips here for this year!

  Just back from a great week in The Big Pink House. Fantastic accommodation for a large group. We were 9 adults & 8 children. We loved the large dining room & bar area ?? (glasses galore). Spent loads of time in the pool room. Kids loved this room. Hired a hot tub with gazebo, which meant it could be used no matter the weather. We enjoyed being in the sitting room together playing group games. The setup for the kitchen & pantry area is brilliant. 3 dishwashers. 2 ovens. A huge fridge & huge freezer. Plenty of tea towels, dishwasher tablets, cutlery, crockery, pots & pans. Every bedroom has an ensuite. One of our families that needed a bit more privacy, stayed in the 2 rooms separate to the main house. Plenty of car parking space. We had fish & chips and Chinese ? delivered to the house. Both delicious. We booked the archery at the house for 10. Was great fun. ? We visited Go Ape, climbed Skiddaw, ? spent time at both Bassenthwaite & Derwentwater. ? The rooms looking out onto the main road could be a little noisy on a morning. Would definitely recommend The Big Pink House ?

  Great place for a large group of people to visit. The house is beautiful and the photos do not do it justice. 8 bedrooms (I think, we kept getting lost in the house!), tv room with the best huge sofa's I've ever sat on, snug, pool room, bar, kitchen, food storage area/preparation and huge dining room with two large tables. We hired a hot tub which was amazing and did archery which was a hit with everyone. Each bedroom had a shower and toilet. There are 3 dishwashers and all the utensils you will ever need. I cannot recommend the Big Pink House highly enough.

  This is a great place for a large family or party to enjoy. Car would be needed as quite far from any shops or pubs. Nice and clean. Some showers in rooms small. And furniture is dated in rooms

  Fabulous house. Easy booking & great communication. We hired archery to come in too which was great. Plenty of room for everyone, providing areas to be together & party but quiet rooms too. Gardens lovely. Very clean, excellent quality, comfy beds. Trying to think of a good reason to get booked in again!

  Excellent Holiday rental for large group of families. We stayed for 3 nights and loved the every minutes of it. Big specious rooms, well equipped kitchen, lovely garden. If you are planning to experience the true beauty of Lake district, Big Pink House highly recommended.

  Just returned from a fantastic week at the Big Pink House. Had by far one of our best holidays here. With 22 family members we enjoyed the house and all its amenities. The bar area was where we would congregate whilst a different family from our group would each night host a "come dine with me" family dinner. Such a great dining area. The games room also hosted many great nights of pool. The children loved the large garden. We also booked a hot tub through the link on the website. We would definitely recommend the hot tubs. Both children and adults enjoyed it. This house is a must and we all wouldn't hesitate to return. Thank you x.

  Have just returned from a week in the wonderful Big Pink House! It was spotlessly clean when we arrived, beautifully furnished throughout and had really comfortable beds. There was plenty of space for the 19 of us to spread out in - both indoors and out. We stocked the bar and hired a hot tub - both recommended extras!
